What Does The Water Pump Do?
The water pump is responsible for moving coolant from the radiator, circulating it through the cooling system, passing through the engine and returning to the radiator again. During this process, the coolant absorbs the heat generated by the engine, which is released into the radiator through contact with the air.
If there is no water pump, the coolant will remain static within the system. This would increase the risk of the engine overheating, which could cause major damage to its components.
